Gene, I just became aware of your passing today, as I was researching the obit of your sister in law, Teresa. I am saddened by this news. You were always welcoming, friendly towards myself and treated me with kindness and respect. I fondly recall great hospitality provided by you and Joan in Feeding Hills. The "Fontaine Weekend" at my family home on Lake Winnipausaukee was a special annual treat in the 1970´s (I was finally able to reaquire that property a few years ago, spend 8-10 weeks each...

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Gene. He was my boss and my friend back in the days when I had my paper routes. He dropped my papers off at Briggs Garage (Billy Briggs Citgo.) at the point of Sprfld and North Streets for several years. We went from Night route to delivering 7 days a week and at times Gene would ask me to fill in down the North end of Agawam for a day or two.
