George Was Always the person that I looked up in High School. All of my Sisters knew him well. Back in the day Coach Birmingham drove him to be what he has done for the game Always. I will always remember George with a big smile and/or a laugh...many times after practical jokes at my expense. I never saw him turn down a request for an autograph, tickets on short notice or help with a charity. You did not have to be famous or a great ball player to earn his friendship. He was truly one of the good guys. I will miss him very much.
