George was my best friend as a young boy. We had some great times, we learned so much together, and I will always cherish those memories. I'll never forget when he asked why he had to make his bed if he was just going to sleep in it that night, along with Joan's responding question of why he was going to eat if he was just going to, well, expel it from his body. I mourn his loss.

Leah,
Sending heartfelt sympathy to you and the twins. I so enjoyed being a part of the early Atlas family, and appreciated what I learned from George. May your family find strength and peace in the days ahead.
Hugs,
Joan Nelson

I called George my "tulip man" because he brought me tulips shortly after I met him. George loved our country and was a patriotic American. He loved the Lord...
