George Gable

I've submitted a photo for all those that knew George. He was about the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the American Legion many years ago.

My Grandpa George passed away last week.

I am so extremely sad to have had him go, but his 95 years of life were good and he was more than ready to go see his bride - grandma "Vi' (Viola). As we prepare to say goodbye to him this week and lay him to rest next to the love of his life, I have been pondering the many happy days I spent as a child with the two of them.

I am a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 104 in Aloha. I've known George for over 20 years and can't tell you how much he meant, not only to me, but to all of us. George always had a smile & a gleam in his eyes when I saw him. It was always a ritual when I saw him at the Post that he would ask where his kiss was.
