My sincere condolences. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t make the trip however, I feel the loss as you. Know that your Dad meant So much to me. You and Your whole family are in our prayers in JESUS CHRIST AMÉN.

Shortly after arriving at Bethany Village, George and Christine were regular participants in my weekly Chair Zumba Gold classes and enjoyed moving along (George in his wheelchair, Christine in a chair next to him) to the music. He always greeted me with a smile and a small hand wave when they arrived. I did not live in Harrisburg all my life, so I was never the recipient of his hospitality in the restaurant industry, but I'm sure it warmed his heart to see his patrons enjoying a good meal...

I knew George through his brother Nick and sister-in-law Tina Giannaris. He was a very good man. May he rest in eternal peace in heaven with Christina.

George was the consummate restauranteur greeting all who visited the the Maverick with a friendly smile. Our community greatly missed his warmth and inviting ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Angel and Bill Marfizo

I am deeply saddened by the passing of such a wonderful gentleman. He was a phenomenal person. Sen. Vincent J. Fumo (Ret.)

Maria, so sorry for the loss of your father. George was an exceptional person. He had a real flair for the restaurant business. Will always remember his bananas foster! God bless your family.

My sincere sympathy to the entire family. Especially Maria and Tina, who were students of mine in school. Also, to Gus, a friend long ago from the Coronet. Our prayers are with you. Hoping beautiful memories soon help ease your sorrow.

My deepest sympathy to the Giannaris family. George was the sweetest, nicest person. We often ate at the Coronet and the Maverick, and we held my mother's 70th birthday party at the Maverick in 1987!
May George's memory be a blessing for you always.
