George Alvin Gill, 79 of Little Rock, died November 1, 2006 in Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born December 18, 1926 in Dallas County. He was a retired salesman for Treadway Electric and a member of Windsong Church of Christ in Maumelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ervin Gill, Maggie Speer Gill and Idella Gill, three sisters, Gladys Perry, Loretta Atchley and Odella Peters. He is survived by his wife Alice Puterbaugh Gill of Perryville, formerly of Little Rock; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Diane Gill of Red Banks, MS, one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Harold Thompson of Perryville; five brothers, William “Bill” Gill of Hacienda Heights, CA, Lee “Bud” Gill of Yucaipa, CA, Jimmy “Slim” Gill of Fordyce, Billy Gill of Kingsland, James E. Gill, Jr. of Enchino, CA; four sisters, Elizabeth Moore of Highland, IN, Pat Hunke of Mundo Beach, CA, Marilyn Gill of Hot Springs, Ginger Brown of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Thompson, Staff Sergeant Jimmy Thompson, Staff Sergeant George Thompson, Shelby Thompson, Maggie Gill, Kipp Gill, Evie Gill and Mick Gill. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be Thursday November 9, 2006 2:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
