George Goodman Obituary
George was born in San Diego, California, and raised in Winfield, Illinois. He joined in US Navy in 1982 and retired in 2007 after serving on board seven submarine commands. After retirement he continued to support military operations by working as a government contractor. He was a dedicated man who loved his kids and family, the military, airplanes, sailing, and Harry Potter.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 25 years, Dana (Bollig), and their children Kirsten, Madison, Liam, Colin, and Nolan, as well as by his sisters Melissa (Tom) Ubelhor, Andrea (Jeff) Plummer, Michelle (Dan) Duffin, and Jeanine (Logan) Murphy and fifteen nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents George Sr and Diane (Brennan) Goodman, and by his daughter Allison.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am on August 9, 2018, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral home, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, VA, with burial to follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 11:00 am, August 9, 2018.
