I too admired and respected George. You don't meet many people like George.He was always an excellent chef (and bartender)and we enjoyed many meals at Kathy and George's house. George loved bringing diverse groups of people together and observing the conversations. George was a big reader, he devoured biographies and read historical nonfiction voraciously. I have the notion that great friendships always have a long nurturing time as they develop , but that is not always so. Our good friend Jerry McNaul introduced Patti and I to George and Kathy.
