Dear George,
please accept my delayed farewell. With deep sorrow I found out only now of your departure. After knowing you in Scotland a long time ago, you have been a wonderful pen-friend for many years. We had to meet in the Keys in a short time, but you could not wait so long. We will miss you when visiting the places you loved so much... You were my only friend in the States and I was very proud of it.
You will stay in my heart.
