Not sure what to say?

Mr. G, you will be greatly missed. You were by far the Best English teacher I have ever had and I thank you for helping me overcome my fear of writing! I passed your class with an A and I cannot thank you enough for all your help and understanding!

To a life well lived--Rest in peace, Grizzly, you were a hell of a friend and colleague. This world was lucky to have you. Wishing peace and solace for Sandra and his family.

How sad to learn of George’s death recently. Over many years while working at Penn I was able to assist him and his students with writing assignments. He was a good teacher with expectations for his students combined with genuine interest and humor. Sincere sympathy to his family. Mila Pierce.

George was my teacher twice. Once in high school, once in community college. I will never forget what a kind, wonderful, well spoken and caring teacher he was. Thank you George for encouraging me to go to a real college. I hope you're looking down and smiling because I just got accepted to iusb.

George was a dedicated and passionate teacher who touched the lives of so many students over the years. He was a good man who loved his job and cared greatly about his students. He will be missed.

I worked with George at PHS many years prior to his retirement. We also worked summer school together for a good ten years. George was passionate about his teaching and his students respected that. He knew all of their names and where they stood in his class. He would put his arm around a student and remind them what they needed to work on. He was warm, caring, and had a sense of humor too. He worked hard at his craft and that became even more apparent to me as I read what some of his...

My favorite teacher. Rest easy , Mr. G

This saddens me as a former colleague, friend, and mentor to George. He was always a hoot to be around and I enjoyed teaching by him. He made me laugh at work! I will never forget the days he would come in and just talk. I know his students loved him and he was respected as an educator and as a person. He was a great man. I wish Sandra and all of his family all the best during this time.

I was so sad to hear the news about Mr. G. He was one of my favorite High School teachers and continues to be the man who inspired my love of Walden and Henry David Thoreau. He was such a warm, caring and loving person who cared for every one of his students. I know my friend and I would love to reach out with flowers or anything. But I hope this will suffice for now. Sending strength and love to the family.
