I worked in Information Services at PPS when George was principal of Franklin. He was a joy to work with and was clearly dedicated to creating the best educational experience for his students.

Besides graduating from Jefferson High School with his brother Curtis, George and I spent several summers together on a softball team as he was our pitcher. He was very successful as we won many games of which many were played at Peninsula Park. Seeing his obituary brought back many wonderful memories. Rest in peace, my friend.

I was George´s ophthalmologist for many years and always enjoyed our interactions. He was such a gentle man and so articulate. We had many conversations about Jefferson and Franklin High Schools, especially since I attended Cleveland High and friendly banter ensued. He was a wonderful individual.

I knew George professionally and as a friend. He was a kind, caring, peaceful and gentle man. My condolences to his family and community of friends.

Prior to marriage and kids of his own, Uncle George frequently took David and I on day trips and special outings. An early memory of mine was our day at "Chicken Hill" (Rooster Rock). I was quite young and kept forgetting the true name. It became our inside joke. George and Dee gave their love and so much of their time assisting dad during the years following his traumatic brain injury until his passing. My visits with George during the last many years were filled with family stories, corny...
