George E. Hardy

George E. Hardy, 88, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in the Normandy Campaign, and the beloved husband of Mercia (nee Klempay), passed away on Monday, June 26, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2000, 5-9 p.m., at Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main Street, Downers Grove, Illinois. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 29, 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Irene Catholic Church, Warrenville, Illinois, with Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Warrenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the National Alzheimer's Association, 919 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.
