George S. Havener

George was a great man in my estimation. My father Charles Immel's cousin. He really helped mom when dad passed in 95'.

To Aunt Betty and family,
So sorry that we could not be there with you, but we are holding you all in our thoughts and prayers, and asking God to hold and comfort you in the 'hollow of His hands'. Praying that you will feel His comfort and love--and that that will help you through this time of loss. Love you all very much.

George was a leader on the reunion committee for the 50th Anniversary of his Ohio State graduating class. It was my privilege to work with George and a few of his classmates as the OSUAA Alumni Reunion Coordinator. As a group we had a wonderful time, and met a few times for breakfast in the first couple of years after the reunion took place. George was a good man, very kind to a new girl trying to learn a new job...on the job. He and his committee members gave me a remembrance gift which...
