Thoughts of the Hayes brothers will forever bring me memories of fun and joy during my own teenage years in Bayridge, Brooklyn. George was always joyful and his brother John was always more serious, but together they were simply wonderful to be around and one could't help loving them.
We'd all meet at Hinches, home of the most delicious cheesecake and egg cremes on the planet, then we'd all walk over to my dear friend Gretchen Jungblute's

The first time I met George, I didn't know he was a twin. I saw him the next day (I thought it was him) and he walked right past me. I then saw him the following day and he greeted me warmly to which I asked "what the heck is going on?"
I haven't seen George or John in over40 years but I remember many good times with both of them.
My sincere condolences.
Peace
