Not sure what to say?

George I. Henry was the father I ever wanted. He is what I call a father, a mentor, as well as a man of God. I think about him daily and I thank God for placing someone as special as him in my life. I love you and miss you. Heaven gained someone special.

I remember George as a man who never tired of talking about and "being a doer" in the area of civil rights. He, like Roberto Ornelas our mutual friend who's also passed on, was also a person who liked to enjoy life and had a good sense of humor. I took over his job when he retired. We had great times especially at our OFCCP management meetings. I, too, will miss George ("el Jefe's right hand man").

Being a part of the Old Enforcement team still in the battle for Civil Rights,I have fond memories of George,he will be greatly missed.
Peace be Still !!

George, I will always remember you and the civil rights work we did together while in DOL. My prayers are with the family. So long friend, go with God.

George was a friend confidant and mentor to number of people. He is remembered as a pioneer in the advancement of Civil and Human Rights. All of us who have had the opportunity to have known him as co-worker and friend are saddened by his loss. But we are all strengthened in the knowledge that his good work here on earth endears him to us and establishes his legacy.

George worked with me in Washington in the 1970's. When I transferred to Dallas, George told me he would like to go back home and a transfer was arranged to get George back to Dallas. He was a faithful and dedicated staff member.George, Ellis Moody, Gary Foster and I got together at the Fairmont Hotel for lunch after we all had retired from the Deparment of Labor. What a great time we had recalling memories about our careers and the people we met along the way. George--I wish we had gotten...

I also worked with George and found him to be a true gentleman - always kind and supportive. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

George was one of my mentors and biggest supporters during my career with the Department of Labor, OFCCP. He was always able to advise me and keep me on track to the all high level management positions I achieved. I will remember him always with gratitude.
