We're so very sorry for your loss. George was such an intelligent and caring person and an incredible friend to our family. Big hugs to the Herold family.

George was a gifted teacher and colleague. His wonderful sense of humor made many of my days at SBHS a joy. We were all lucky to be in his life.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Herold (as he will always be to me) well from 53 years ago at San Marcos High. He encouraged me to pursue my writing. A truly gifted teacher.
