Dr. George Lee Hill

I remember Dr. Hill so well at the BSU. He directed the BSU choir and had such a gentle sweet Christian influence on me. I also remember his coming to Meadowcreek and visiting a man down the hall from my Dad. We could hear them singing hymns together. It was such a sweet time for them & cheered my Dad and me as well. I know you will miss him and so do I. I hope you will be comforted by these memories. Love Jenny Eubank

Dr. Hil was a warm, wonderful teacher. I enjoyed spending my senior year of high school in his class. He cared about the whole student, and I smile to think of his legacy. Condolences to his family on their loss.

We are so sorry for your loss. George was such a kind and caring person. We remember him most leading the singing in Adult 5 FBC. He was always such a blessing....filled with so much energy!! We will keep your whole family in our thoughts and prayers.

I was sad to read of Dr. Hill's death. I wanted the family to know, as I'm sure they already do, what a kind and good man he was. I was going back to school at ASU with two small boys at home. One of my last classes before finally graduating was Algebra. I always struggled with math and it had been a long time since high school. Gretta, Gayle, Chuck, Chas, George was a blessing to you and your family, and to his family-at-large: the public whose lives he touched! You have had too much loss here of late, but you bear it in the comfort of the knowledge and memory of lives well lived, and if anyone personified that goal in life, it was George!

I knew George through tennis. He was a fine player, a fierce competitor, and always the perfect sportsman. Whether he won or lost, he was gracious. When you played against him you simply knew you had to bring your best game, and that he would never, ever cheat you.

He was a very good man. I enjoyed him. I consider myself fortunate to have known him.

Game, set, and match to you, George. You always deserved your wins.
