Not sure what to say?

Hi folks, I was at Willamette National yesterday visiting my family and recognized the name very near ours. I am sad to see the passing of a friend and flying partner. Over the course of twelve years he shared flying duties once sometimes twice a year. As I cared for my father in his later years Mel made what I always felt was a special and considerate effort to keep me in the flying loop. I had commented to others that I had again missed my annual invite to fly. With a sincere feeling that I...

Was trying to contact you for our old P-D high school reunion. Knew you when you lived with your Aunt Connie. Your old "Honda 50" riding buddy, Wally

Although we had not seen Mel in many years we were taken aback by his passing. His obituary was so appropriate , a true description of Mel. Tam and I send our condolences to the Valerie and the family.

My memory of Mel was him always being so kind and happy. My brother,Jerry and him worked as corporate pilots together and were best of friends for many years. He will always be loved and missed. Much love to you Valarie, as I know his passing must be the saddest of times for you. May he rest in peace. Much love, Vicki Keller

So sorry to hear about Mel. We were classmates in Tillamook and attended St. Johns Church. He was always such a nice person. The church's building at the corner of Pacific and Seventh Street still stands, now owned by others, and Mel was one of the teens who helped to paint it. Blessings to his family. THS Class of 1964

Grief is the price we pay for love. It is a heavy price for me as Dad was the best I could have ever imagine. Caring, generous, driven, funny, confident, talented, determined, passionate and someone who made a world of difference in my life. I will cherish our time together forever, I love you Dad!
