I just recently found out that Dr Hnatiuk had passed away I worked for him in the doctors office when I was very young, and he taught me how to read slides under the microscope. I went to nursing school when I worked there and with his help my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and he later took care of my aunt who had thrombocytopenia he was such a kind hearted man may he rest in peace he will never be forgotten.

I am so sad to hear this news. Dr. Hnatiuk was the most amazing doctor, I met him when I was a new nurse on the Hematology/Oncology unit at Oakwood. Everyone from staff to his patients loved him so much. He was always up for a moment to teach, so I was always asking him things about Oncology, as being a new nurse, it was good to learn from the best! He will be missed by SO many patients and staff at Oakwood, he is a legend! My thoughts and prayers for all of you. His legacy will never be...
