George Donald Hoffman

George Donald Hoffman, 72, of East Peoria, Illinois, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served from April 26, 1946 to April 27, 1947, attaining the rank of Private First Class, and who worked for 20 years for Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 1992 as a Power Trucker, passed away at Morton Terrace, Ltd., Morton, Illinois, on the morning of Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2000, 5-7 p.m., at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel, 405 Rusche, Creve Coeur, Illinois. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 22, at 10 a.m., officiated by the Rev. John E. Plunkett. Burial will be at Meadow Lawn Cemetery, Manito, Illinois.
