Not sure what to say?

Mayme, as we have told you, you and George had a special place in our hearts. We have shared many visits with you in your various homes and have always enjoyed you and George as the "perfect host and hostess". We will miss that old guy!!!

I grew to know Mayme and George through my mom, Corine Gillilan...another one of those Ma Bell folks. We so enjoyed their visits every year to Mom's house during the Christmas holidays. Lots of smiles and laughter for sure! Will have a toast or two or three to George on the Galveston beach soon. Much love, Judy

George is one of those people whose kindness, generosity, and humor will always be remembered. Mayme, may you be comforted knowing we have those loving thoughts with us always.

Guy and I extend our deepest sympathy to you, Mayme, and to all of the family. George was a terrific guy, and he'll be greatly missed.

With sympathy and love

George was my professional mentor. He taught me (and numerous other young managers) more than I can adequately express about our company and big business in general.

At the same time we became life-long friends. We laughed together and commiserated with each other. We shared stories about fishing and Army experiences (mostly lies), common acquaintances (some true), and life experiences (all true, and most with a moral relevant to the then-current situation).

George...

George was a very interesting and special person, a faithful friend that will be sorely missed. We enjoyed our lunches and times to visit so very much. May his family be blessed and comforted greatly.
