Not sure what to say?

Another great son of Holyoke has passed away. God Bless you George, and you too
Kathleen.Although my entire adult life has been spent elsewhere, I cherish my boyhood memories like no others. RIP
George, Maybe there is a Morgan Street
playground in heaven where we can all have a pickup ballgame!

I was one of Dr. Hurley's first patients on
Broadway in the Falls. 42 years later I was one of his last patients on Cleveland St. in Springfield. A Chicopee Pacer spending that much time with a Holyoke Purple Knight gave way to many a tale. Never is one suppose to enjoy a visit to the dentist with the exception going to this wonderful man. A true professional, remarkable husband, father, athlete and most of all friend.

George was my Dentist for many years. He loved to talk. I was saddened when he told me he had to leave his profession. George was a really great guy. Condolences goes out to all his family & friends. R.I.P. (I hope you're still talking up a storm)

Dear Hurley Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Hurley's passing. As not only a former patient but former employee, I can certainly say he was always full of life and had me cracking up with laughter every time I came in. I was just telling someone the other day how he would put out two left shoes on top of the trash...I am sure you know how the rest of the story goes. May he rest in peace.

Best,

Kristine O'Neil

I had the privleage of working with Dr. Hurley during high school and part of college as his assistant and I can't say enough about what a wonderful, witty, and kind man he was. As his patients would agree, he always had a funny story to tell everyone and I know a part of that was his personality but it really made people feel comfortable and allowed them to actually enjoy coming to the dentist. I currently work in health care and throughout my years with him at the office he helped me...

Dear Hurley Family,
As a lifelong patient of Dr. Hurley (all the way back to Broadway in Chicopee), George was more than a dentist, he was a friend. I always looked forward to seeing him as he always had some amusing story to tell. I'm so saddened at this news. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was a patient of Dr. Hurley's as a kid and right through college. What a nice guy! He was the 1st dentist to offer flavored dental cleaning tooth paste (ie grape, orange, cherry and pina coloda). He made an impression on this 12 year old (circa 1969). I thought he was the collest dentist araound!!! RIP Dr. Hurley.

We were so sorry to hear of Dr. Hurley's passing. My husband was a patient for over 20 years, and we continued the tradition by bringing our 3 children to his office too. He was caring, compassionate and a great story teller! When my son had no dental insurance, he never turned him away and let him pay monthly. He will be great missed and our sympathies go out to the Hurley family.

So sad to hear of Dr. Hurley's passing. He was my dentist since I was thirteen & then he became our family dentist, but more importantly I was proud to call him my friend. I will forever miss our discussions. Heartfelt sympathy to his family.
