For the many many years of working together......George always had his hand on the pulse of all goings-on and a congenial laugh that was included in every get together. He will be missed. Dale Brooks - NPower, and New York BOtanical Garden, and Wildlife Conservation Society

We at The City College of New York were so sad to learn of George's passing. As a young director of our Colin Powell Center, I was so lucky to interact with George and learn from how he approached philanthropy. We keep him and all who loved him in our hearts.

George was a dear friend for more than 50 years. Thankfully, memory is one gift from God that death cannot destroy. I shall always treasure the valuable memories of our friendship.

I wish to send my prayers to the family of George, i knew him when he was Publisher of the San Antonio Light, he was i very nice person to know.

Dear Jeannie, My deepest condolences for your loss and the family. I have enjoyed George´s guidance and leadership over more than a decade. And I am thankful to have met you both. My prayers are with you! Much love Bettina

We did meet at Cardinal Dolans reception in 2019. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers now and in...

I knew George as a fellow high school seminarian at Divine Word Perrysburg, OH. He was a senior, I was a freshman. He was always a true gentleman and good person. I recall he and classmates would meet and listen to classical music while writing letters home. He played - we all had to - tackle football with pads. He attended one of our HS alumni meetings. He was such a good man.
