George Ivy

George was a volunteer with Lutheran Social Servcies and had a few of my clients. He would take them out to eat, grocery shopping and played game with them but most of all was there to listen and tell his stories. I enjoyed his stories and his enthusiasm for life each month at our meetings. I think of him a lot and his clients still talk about George and how much they loved visiting with him. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I worked with George when he was a volunteer in the Lutheran Social Service Senior Companion Program in Saint Paul, Minnesota. George was a very special man who loved his clients and took the extra time and energy to make their lives better. Many people were able to live fuller and more independent lives because of George's dedicated service. I miss George's sense of humor and his caring and compassionate way of being in the world. Rest in peace, George.
