Not sure what to say?

Pete would always stop by at the Plainfield Public Library, where I have worked the past 34 years and he knew my mother, Bernice Paglia, always asking bout her. He was a very friendly person and I'm glad I got to know him. He will be missed.

When I was much younger and our family lived in Plainfield, Pete was close friends with my father, Walter Herz. I have many childhood memories of both of our families at the Unitarian church on Park Avenue, of cocktail parties at our house where Pete and Joce would always be in attendance, and, most importantly, of the regular bridge games Pete and my Dad participated in with, I think, Art Neumann and Harold Yood, among others. These games were quite serious and both Pete and my dad were, I...

He was there for a every, single, holiday dinner we served to our neighbors at the First Unitarian Society of Plainfield. Such a charming man, with a twinkle and an eye for the ladies. We often joked about how he in succession escorted two of the most beautiful women from FUSP after his wife's passing. We'll never forget him.

Pete Jones was a wonderful asset to the Neighborhood House Association. His curiosity and wealth of knowledge will be missed. Fontella Best Board President
