Not sure what to say?

The Greatest Man I ever knew.

My husband and I were both members of Permian Kantorei in 1976. Mr. Jordan was a phenomenal choir director, and instilled a joy of singing that is with us today. Our thoughts and prayers to the family. He will be greatly missed. David and Elizabeth (Mack) Kirk, Kermit TX

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Many wonderful memories of my days in the Permian Choir with Mr. Jordan. I am a retired choral director in Odessa. Followed in his footsteps.

Only today I learned of the passing of Mr. Jordan, my high school hero and mentor. I came to be a part of PHS ACappella in 1972, saw him lead it to become Kantorei and was its first president in 1974. Mr. Jordan, more than any other person in high school, gave me courage, faith, vision, and confidence, as well as an eternal love for music and for God. I will never forget the tennis ball mouth analogy, the "For Unto Us a Child is Born" annual, and "Children of the Heavenly Father." Dear...

I am sorry to hear of Mr Jordan's passing but know that he is in a better place.

My condolences to his family and please know that he was so special and influential in so many lives.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of his choir at Permian in Odessa from 1969 until graduation in 1971 and I remember those years with fondness and gratitude for he taught me, both about music but more important about respect and how to apply those lessons in our lives.

Rest well, dear man,...

Papa, I was blessed to share so many memories with you. You loved me endlessly and always had a hug/kiss for me. I will miss you so much that no words can describe the pain I feel in my heart. I will always cherish your last solo you sang and will always try to make you you proud. I love you Papa!

It has been hard for me to find the right words for someone so special to his family. I am so proud of my Uncle Lewis. He succeeded in becoming well educated in a talent so natural to him so that one day he may teach others to succeed and reach beyond those dreams. Your music will be remembered. So will your sense of humor and your laughter. Aunt Ann. We love you and we are greatful to have you in our lives. I want to hear you play that piano. Don't stop! Don't ever stop. Till we meet again...
