Not sure what to say?

I will never forget the day that I interviewed for the librarian job at Story. I was nervous and really wanted this position. George asked several probing questions and then asked the big one: "Do you like to have fun?" He wanted teachers who loved their students and found joy in their teaching position. Our Story faculty was a family. George gave me a chance to share my love of books with students at Story Elementary and the opportunity to establish Cheatham Elementary library. He was a...

George was my principal for my first 10 years of teaching at Story Elementary. He always had a smile on his face, and he was never happier than when he was around kids. He would come down to the gym and jump right into our game with us. He would spend the entire field day outside, hosing down kids every time they would come near! I remember him doing outside crosswalk duty, rain or shine, every single day of the year. Nothing made him happier than seeing the parents and students at drop off...

Mr. Junco was the principal I knew the most. I was always excited the opportunities I would get to talk with him whether I was in school or when it was after I graduated. He then turned from great principal to great friend. I'm going to miss him so much and send my deepest condolences to his family. Thank you Mr. Junco.

George Junco is one of the best people I have ever known. After 35 years of friendship and wonderful memories, his legacy and what his life meant to so many, George will never be forgotten. Sincere condolences to Tambri, Christy, Mary, and all of his precious family. He loved you so much.

Tambri prayer for you and the family. I remember George at the family reunion and introducing us to the Drone. I enjoyed watching him as much as the Drone with his big smile. He was a teacher trying to explain what it was capable of to me . Such a kind nice person he was. With love to you, Sue.

Jorge, you will always be remembered as a kind, warm soul. We had a great time growing up together and so grateful to have you as a friend. Your smile and kind heart will be missed. RIP my friend. Prayer for the family

Sending my condolences to George´s family and lifting them in my prayers. I hadn´t seen George in several years and didn´t realize he was sick. I have fond memories of him when we were administrators in Allen during the same time period. It doesn´t surprise me at all that he was still smiling and joking around in his last days. He was always such a fun guy ... with the greatest smile! Rest in peace, George.

When I met George he was looking for a PE asst in April of that school year because his present one got another job. At that time I was a stay at home mom and had been for 13 years, one of his questions to me was what kind of family I grew up in? when I told him I was one of seven kids he knew he had the perfect person to be able to work in his gym. At the end of that school year he was told he would not have the funds to hire me back he was devastated. I then get a call from him during...
