Not sure what to say?

I am back again to add to the memories that I wrote in the past when the opportunities were presented by the funeral home. George and I came out of military service in the mid 1950s, after serving during the Korean War. I met the Kaiser family while I was dating daughter Millie, and during our marriage. I remember Millie's parents, her sisters and brothers well. They were very welcoming while I was in there presence. I hope George's family iks comforted by the memories of his life with...

I see from the record here on this website that I've written a number of remembrances in the past, all describing my relationship with George, my then brother-in-law. He was such a fine gentleman, worthy of the thoughts and comments of the many people who knew him, and who enjoy recalling his memory in our lives today.

This is such a fine system, providing us with a means of remembering someone and sharing the thoughts about the days we knew the person we want to honor.

I remember George well. He returned from the service at about the time I was dating his sister Millie. George was a great fan of sports cars, and I developed an interest in them soon after meeting him. His brothers Donny and Bobby were too young to drive at that time, but I'm sure George's interest in sports cars eventually influenced their car buying. I then owned two MG's and a Volvo during my fascination with those cars, the Volvo after Millie and I were married. We of course attended...

On this second anniversary of George's passing, I would like to add to the remembrances I wrote at that time. Most notable is that George was an avid sports car fan. He encouraged me to become interested in them. I bought a used 1951 MG, and later a used 1960 MG, both cars were great experiences. Millie and I bought a new 1858 Volvo several years after we were married, from the dealership where George worked for a time. Interesting how Legacy encourages this sort of annual remembering of...

The students and faculty at Northern Illinois University will always be grateful to George for his support and generosity toward the Hybrid Microelectronics program at NIU back in the mid 70's. George and Process Technology provided us with both samples and technical guidance, and played a great role in helping Northern gain a foothold in the emerging hybrid microelectronics industry. Thank you, George, for your kindness; may you rest in peace.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Kaiser family I have many, many fond memories of the family. I remember when George returned from his military service. I was at his wedding with the family. I remember when Arlene's mother's finger was pinched in a closing car door when we were getting ready to leave for the wedding. I recently passed the Kaiser home on Howell Avenue near the airport. So many good memories. I hope the family has a few good memories of me. When Millie and I...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...
