Not sure what to say?

I'm not sure if anyone will read this, as it's been such a long time, but I hope so. I decided to look up Mr. Knasas tonight and was so so sorry to learn of his passing. I've recently decided to leave my job and pursue another career involving travel, education, and learning languages. It made me think that he was the reason that I was so passionate now about learning Spanish. I then began to learn Portuguese, as my Dad's side of the family speaks it. I graduated Braintree High in 2001...

Dear Mary , please accept my condolences. I am very sorry and very sad to hear that your brother and my dearest friend George had pass away. I will always remember his kindness toward me and my family.

Dear Mary and family,

I am so, so, sorry to hear about the loss of your brother, son, and uncle. Though he has gone home to God, his passing has brought great sorrow to all of you. May your sorrow heal and may you take comfort in the many memories you have of George's accomplished and loving life. You have my deepest condolences and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

With deepest sympathy and love,
Cris Nelson

Mr. Knasas was a fun Latin teacher. We played K ball in seventh grade. Good memories.

I am very sad to hear the news of Mr. Knasas' passing. My heart felt condolences to his friends and family. He was my favorite teacher at South Junior High in the late 80's. I was never very good at Latin, but he made the learning fun and I always looked forward to his class. I'll never forget when he DJ'd my grandmother's 60th birthday party back in 1987, what a blast.

Plenus annis abiit, plenus honoribus

Rest in peace Mr. Knasas.

I had the pleasure of being a colleague of George at Braintree High School. He was loved by all who knew him. Aside from his limitless supply of jokes (and he could tell them in 6 languages), he was a genuine gentleman. He not only remembered my kids' names and frequently asked about them, but he often asked how my wife Leslie and her friend Mary were doing, students he had in the early 80s! Always about others, never about himself. He was such a great guy and role model. RIP...

I was very sad to hear of George's passing. My husband Joe and I worked with George at the First National Bank in the late sixties. I recently connected with George at a local coffee shop and will miss his kindness and humor. Our condolences to family and friends. AnnMarie and Joe Flynn

He was a distinctive teacher who made a difference in my life. 1989 grad of Braintree High and South Junior high. I am sorry to his family for he was a great inspiration to many who were in his classes and homeroom.

The passing of a loved one pains the heart, but more so when it is unexpected.
The God of all comfort will strengthen you at this time.
