What a very special organic chemistry teacher, a brilliant man and a true inspiration!

My heart is heavy to learn of his passing. Memories of him flood my mind. When I came to The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC in 1980 I was assigned as a Teaching Assistant to Dr. Kowkabany. We got along very well and I learned a great deal from him.
