I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My sympathies are with the whole family. It’s been many years since we’ve been in contact (Ryan was my best friend in first grade). Nick was always such a good guy. He let us ruin his lawn with the slip-and-slide in the backyard and took us for rides in his convertible—how great!! Nick was a classmate of mine at Garfield until we left and went to Sacred Heart when I was in the fourth grade. I did see him often and he was always such an upbeat guy. Then he became friends with my baby sister in Billings and I got to see him again there. May your friends and family there in Oregon help you through the rough times now.

We take joy in knowing that Nick is in Heaven and we will see him again on the other side. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this time. His faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior was an inspiration to us. In the Bible we read, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" for those who have placed their trust in Him. Nick placed his trust in Him.

I sent the notice to my brother Berl Stallard in Tacoma. He always told us when he ran into Nick at convention, and kept us up to date with your family and the latest news. Nick will be missed by more people than you may ever know about.
