Not sure what to say?

I appreciate having George brought to mind again. I remember not quite believing that such as he would want to be friends with such as I, but he did.

It is my great pleasure to remember George Land and bring to mind his relentless interest in lives and ideas. I always wished i could have lived closer and been closer, but such as i had of him enriched my life and gave me tools to interpret experience in creative ways. I miss you, George.

I met George in Atlanta in 1978, when I opened the lecture event with a set of folk songs. Afterward we went to dinner and George interrogated me closely about my coming fishing trip to Baja. In the years that followed we would exchange letters and with one such letter came his and Beth's Breakpoint and Beyond, and with another a cassette copy of his speech to the Bahai'i concerning the principles in both Breakpoint and Grow or Die. I listened to that lecture many times and lent it out until...

I met George at a Creative Mental Health seminar at Emory University in late 1978, at which I performed music in warm up for his lecture, and, though I never saw him again, was honored to call him friend through a number of dynamic exchanges of communication. I found out about his passing today, when I copied him on an email I had just written wherein I cited some of his wisdom to a friend. To miss him now will be to feel him near. My great sorrow at Beth's and his children's loss.

As a long time CPSI attendee and leader, I was privileged to know and learn from George. I have a video of his opening speech to the assembled leaders in which he is laden with silver bracelets, etc., because he said he needed the help they brought to face our group. Never forgotten that message---the Universe is more mysterious and marvelous than we can ever know. We have lost a great spirit leader and intellect.

Many blessings on you, Beth, and all of George's family and friends....

George's creative techniques will continue to light the way for people to solve problems. He lived life to the fullest and maintained his curiosity about the world.

To the family and friends, please accept my condolences. I hope the promise at John 5::28-28 will bring you conform and hope.
