Condolences to Carol and the family, with very special memories of you and George from Shechem days on. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Vivian Bull

Our condolences to Carol, his family, friends and students.

I have so many wonderful memories of George as a teacher and eventually as a friend. I know I could never have become a teacher and scholar without his gentle and wise guidance. He will be missed. Diane Levy Jacobson

George was a steady and supportive colleague at Union and beloved of all his students. Jim Sanders

George was a brilliant scholar, with the kindest of eyes and a great smile. Never one to talk of woes, he was instead, a great listener. He will be missed. Love to Carol, Chris and family from all of us.
