Dear Betsy,
I just heard the news today and wanted to send along my deepest condolences to you and the family. I will long remember you, George and the clan and our great conversations, wonderful meals, the beautiful backroads of Westminster and, always, classical music in the background.
George's was a life well lived, at least the small part of it that I saw.
Wishing you all the very best in this difficult time.
Rick Ehrenreich

Dear Betsy,
George was a wonderful colleague in the years he taught at Holy Cross, and I always valued his stimulating analyses of American foreign policy. And of course I have especially fond memories of fabulous dinners you cooked at your estate in Westminster!
With deeply felt condolences,
