Read MoreI just recently heard about the passing of George Lantz. Growing up in Lake Zurich, his music program played a big part in the lives of our family.
George had a big impact on the community as well. We always marched in the Memorial Day and Alpine Parades in addition to Homecoming. The Junior High band always had more applause than the High School band! I wonder why?

I'll miss him. Mr. Lantz is the reason I still play music today. He was one of the biggest influences in my life, and the reason music will always be a part of my life.
