Not sure what to say?

Truly one of the nicest person I had the privilege of knowing. Coach Mac was my recruiter and freshman coach entering UM football in 1965. His family and those who had the privilege of knowing and being around Coach Mac had their lives enriched by his presence. A bit late in posting but never too late in remembering Coach Mac.

I will forever cherish my memories of George and Betty. They exemplified everything that's manifest in righteous living: what a legacy for all of us who knew them.

George and Betty along with Arvie Rose hosted my wedding on Ed Yarbrough's back porch 36 years ago. Then, as now, What a legacy George left--integrity, honesty, humility!! Mike and Matt have a rich heritage!!

George was my classmate through Kirby-Smith Jr. High and Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Florida. I always considered him and Betty as special friends, and have many wonderful memories of our times then. George was a wonderful, spiritual man that dealt with his adversity with charm, grace, and unending spirit. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, buy so grateful that he has to suffer no longer.

My deepest condolences to Betty and all of the family. You are in my prayers.

God bless you Uncle George may you RIP. Thank you for all the great memories growing up. I am very proud to be your niece. This is not good bye, this is see you later. Say hi to Dad, Papa, Grandma and Donna. See you in heaven! Love you always Bonnie Sue

I went to school with George Macintyre in the 50's at Kirby Smith and Andrew Jackson... in our hometown Jacksonville, FL. I remember him as having the record 100 yard dash at Kirby and he was very athletic. I left school early and joined the USAF in 1956 and lost touch with most all of my school friends and acquaintances... but I later learned that he had become quite successful in his field as Head Coach of the Football Team at Vanderbilt. I was very pleased to see his success and later...

Dear Betty,
It has been many years; but childhood friends never forget each other. My blessings go out to you and your family.
