Not sure what to say?

George was one of my favorite uncles, and all of my uncles are the best. When we were kids we went to the Marett farm and played in the old Model T that was up in the hills behind the house. Edythe and George always had a garden and Edythe made fresh bread; so, we ate a lot of country cooking at their house. They usually had someone's kids living with them, kids who George brought home to care for until their parents could do that. The kids were treated exactly as George and Edythe's own five...

George Marett was one of my favorite uncles. He was married to my mom's sister, Edythe Wimmer Marett. When we were kids it was so much fun to go play in the old chicken coop and then run up and down the hills by the farm. There was an old rusted-out Model T up in the hills and we used to get in it and pretend we were driving to fun places. It was great.

George was a Sheriff who enforced the laws of loving our neighbors, rather than enforcing laws of fear. He and Edythe...

George was my uncle. One of two favorites. Even at nine years old, I admired how hard he worked and how loyal he was to his values.
The female race could use more men like him!!

George was always a wonderful role model for me. I remember the long rides in his sheriff's car as his "unofficial deputy". I am a better person for having known him.

George will be greatly missed! We have so enjoyed our association with him for many years. He truly never met a stranger! We love you Edythe, and wish the very best for you and your extended family. May you be comforted at this time.

I'm glad that my husband was able to meet George and know him before he passed away. I'll always be glad for the conversations we had at family events, and thanks for watching out for us as kids, both Edythe and George! I remember you coming over to visit us in Price at Christmas when we were little and you brought the little sock dolls. :) Love, Monica

My condolences to Edythe, all your children, and the Marett and Wimmer families. I have always remembered George as one of the finest sheriffs and neighbors in Duchesne County, during the years I was growing up there in association with your children and extended family. Edythe, you were one of the finest school teachers Duchesne High ever had and attending school with your younger brothers and sisters was an honor, as that whole family was such a wonderful contribution to the community....

One of the most genuine, down-to-earth people I have ever known. He truly was "good people".

George was a great Uncle and he will be in our hearts forever. Our prayers are with Edythe and the rest of the family at this time of sorrow. We loved you George.
