Your dad was so kind to me and I am so glad you moved to Averill Park. During a hard time in my family he took the time to talk with me and make sure I was OK.

We miss you Uncle Bud. Whenever I see an interesting rock or mineral (which is surprisingly often) I think of you and a smile comes across my face. Your enthusiasm for and love of geology were an inspiration. We hope you and your brothers are having a grand old time up there, no doubt causing the angels all kinds of mischief.

I always knew this day would eventually arrive. But what I did not know was just how deeply painful it would be. I did not know it would hit me so unbelievably hard.
