I met George when I was working at the Tucson Museum of Art, he was a terrific board member, a generous and thoughtful gentleman. I am grateful I knew him, I was always happy to see him.

I was the UPS driver in the Sonoita area for many years. It was there that I meant George. He became a friend, someone I always looked forward to visiting with. He was the one that was responsible for opening the door for me to get my paintings accepted into the Mountain Oyster Show over 20 years ago. He was a humble kind man that I have greatly missed since retiring. Honored to have known him.

I remember with such happiness playing polo with George at La Mariposa. He called me a "scrappy little girl on those big ol' horses", which I took as a compliment! Please accept my condolences to George's family for your loss.

On behalf of the Empire Ranch Foundation's many members, I am sending sympathy for your loss and gratitude for the years of service and dedication that Mr. Masek unselfishly devoted to the mission of the foundation. He will be remembered.
