Not sure what to say?

I grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and knew George Maynard as the much-admired "big brother" to his sisters Lucie Lee and Elsie. I recall his delightful wit and kindness to his sisters' friends. He was well-regarded in Clarksdale as a brilliant student, a gifted lawyer, and a man of integrity. George Maynard III was a gift to all of us.

He was such a loyal family man. I will remember him when I think of the brilliance and vibrancy he shared with his sisters, Elsie Maynard Milligan, and Lucie Lee Maynard Lanoux, and the rest of his family.
We are blessed to have shared life with him.

I met Mr. Maynard 37 years ago when I started working for the law firm of Cabaniss Johnston. I remember him in his blue seersucker suit and white shoes and to me he looked like Pat Boone. I have always said that if you looked up southern gentleman you should see a picture of George Maynard. He truly was a brilliant, kind and inspiring man to work with who always had a smile and a good morning for everyone. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
