Not sure what to say?

As I sit in my study prior to bible study I glanced at my bookshelf and noticed "Growing Up To The Head," one of the many guides we received in the Young Ministers Division of the National Baptist Convention. I remember the lasting, practical advice Dr. McCaleb shared. Thank God for his life.

The life and work of Dr. George O. McCalep has inspired me as a student, preacher, pastor and as a professor. I have a lot of his books in my library and I read and use them in my work as a teacher and pastor. He still lives through his work and I am honored that I had the opportunity to interact with him many times. I attended his Home-going celebration. I live in Lexington South Carolina and the last time I was with hims when He conducted a workshop at the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in...

I would like to take a moment to celebrate with you all, the life of Dr. McCalep. His wisdom he instilled in me still blesses me today. I pray many blessings to family&friends. Rev. Perry Alexander Macedonia Baptist Church of Charlotte North Carolina

Dear Sadie,
For over 50 years our acquaintances were not forgotten. You and Mickey were special to me. I will miss his special walk and perpetual smile. May the memories you hold and the love of God continue to keep you in perfect peace.

I have attend Greenforest Christian Academy since I was 2 years old. Currently, I am a sophomore. After all my years attending Greenforest, I have never met him personally. I might have seen him occasionally, but I have never went up to him and spoken. I attended his funeral and was very emotional because when they showed the video clips of the good days; I regret the fact that I never went to a church service. It seemed like he was an excellent preacher. I was shocked when I found out that...

I've never meet him.I always just seen him.I always wanted to speak to him,but I never got a chance.I was very sad to hear of his passing.
For the McCalep's, I will keep your family in my prayers

To the McCalep Family, I recently learned of Rev. McCalep's transition from this life to life eternal. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1996, while he was in Toledo, Ohio. His warm personality and his simplicity approach to the Word left a lasting memory with me. I believe the Word which says, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,...

To Sister McCalep and Family,
Sister McCalep I often speak of you and of Rev. McCalep even after I left GreenForest Baptist Church. I often speak of you and your husband's goodness and kindness.

I can recall the time my daughter ran away from school and you were right there to give me comfort and words of kindness.

I often speak about Rev. McCalep and the fact that of all the members of his church family, he could recall everyone by their names, I mean everyone he knew...

We would just like to send our deepest sympathy to the McCalep family for the loss of Pastor McCalep. He was a wonderful preacher and he brought the teachings of the Bible to life. He told it like it was. He will forever reign in the hearts of those who had the pleasure to meet and talk to him. Godbless you and we're praying for you. Mom and daughter.
