George was a life-long member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Clinton, now named St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish.
In retirement, George enjoyed traveling and attended many naval ships reunions with former shipmates. He also enjoyed following sports, especially Holy Cross, the Red Sox, Bruins and Revolution, and the New York Football Giants. George was a longtime member of The Knights of Columbus and The Ancient Order of Hibernians.
George's family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff at UMASS Memorial Hospital, and especially to those in the SICU, and also to the staff of the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
