With love and appreciation, The McVay family

Dear Primrose & Family
With deep sorrow we grieve with you on George's passing. His obituary illuminates some, but clearly cannot note all of his many wonderful personal and professional attributes. He always chose his words carefully and they were always worth listening to, thus I constantly learned something new.
George was one of the most thoughtful, kind, and generous men we have ever known. Our words, like yours, were written with tearful eyes, but also with joyful hearts for...

Uncle George, You were kind, respectful, considerate and professional in regards to my mother Jane, for that, I am forever grateful. My prayers and thoughts go out to your family. Be blessed always...

Dear Primrose and Family,
George's life resume is a clear testament of what a remarkable man he always was and forever will be. I am blessed to have met him and known him. He was a gentle, sweet, kind, loving and wise person. He was a great mentor to me while serving on consistory together. He will be greatly missed!
May the Love and Peace of God be with you. Blessings to you.

Prim- I truly respected George and enjoyed our shared years on Consistory. My sincere condolences. Lois Bichler

Dear Primrose and family,
Our friendship goes back many years in Tottenville. We have decades of fine memories with you and George in Tottenville, Brooklyn College--remember walking the ice encrusted beaches in freezing winter? George will be missed. "Thanks for the Memories."

Dear Primrose and family, we lived next door to George, his mother and Uncle Chris. George and I were playmates, schoolmates and I went to his senior prom and ROTC formal at Brooklyn. After I moved away, we had little contact except when I visited my parents. I do know that my father respected George's legal abilities and enjoyed working with him in Masons. So, speaking for the Cawse family, fond memories prevail. I wish I had some of our childhood pictures available digitally.
God's...

I never met George McVay but was fortunate to have his wonderful daughter, Flora, in my class. My deepest condolences to Flora and all the McVays.

Staten Island has lost a gentle giant and one of the wisest, kindest and purest person I had the privilege of knowing. George McVay was genuinely interested in people and found many ways to serve others, using the gifts and abilities God granted him. He loved God deeply and his church and served faithfully for as long as he was able. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family for comfort and strength during this difficult time of loss and...
