Not sure what to say?

George and I were undergraduates and fraternity bothers at the University Of Illinois. George was a kind and gentle person who I had not seen in years. I am in the area for the summer and was hoping to see George and renew an friendship. I am deeply saddened that that will not be possible.

I have known George for six months and he has given me a overview of the
grand rapids community. a great friend that has an excellent knowledge of local community issues. we often had lunch together and I enjoyed listening to issues of local and national concerns I will really miss our periodic sessions .a great friend and I will truly miss our luncheon sessions Peter Zimmer

I had George as one of my accounting professors when I was an undergraduate at MSU and I worked with him years later when I became a faculty member. George was the chair of the Department when I was hired, so I have always been grateful for his decision to hire me. I was very fond of George, he had a very calm warm personality and he was well liked by his colleagues. My thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time.

What a Man George was. He kept my books while coaching at Byron Center. So down to earth, just the kind of person I needed to be around. You are already missed my friend.

I will never forget the very first time I met George. We kept MISSING opportunities to meet "in person" so he walked into my place of work to formally introduce himself and even patiently waited nearby as I finished up some calls so that we could talk a bit more. I thought that was just the nicest gesture on his part and also one that in today's society is truly RARE to witness. Though I had already heard such wonderful words about him, it showed me then and there how genuinely special George...

So sorry to hear about George. He was so interesting at the camp out. I'm glad I got to meet him!

Please accept my sincere condolences, May the love of family and friends comfort you through your grief and days ahead, let loving memories of George warm your heart, Isaiah 6:1,2 "God binds up the brokenhearted and comforts all who mourn."

Very thankful that I had the chance for a brief visit with my friend just 2 days before his passing. He was such a good guy to talk with in his visits to Family Fare Byron Center. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jack Poll RPh

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
