I´ll never forget Uncle Watt! When he went to Vietnam I was fortunate to be able to visit him in Saigon at MACV where he was stationed. I always looked up to him and tried to walk in his footsteps in the Army. He was the greatest of the greats and like all my dad´s brothers he was a part of the greatest generation that saved the world. He will be dearly missed. The world has lost one more of Gods blessings in him being a gift to us all for a short time.

Uncle George was one of my favorite Uncles and I always enjoyed seeing him whenever he came back to South Carolina. When I was growing up he encouraged me to go to West Point and that was my plan during High School. I received a Congressional Appointment to the Academy in 1962 but was offered an Academic Scholarship to Clemson University and decided to go that way. I kept in close contact with Uncle George throughout his lifetime although he always lived far away from the Carolina´s and had...

I have not been able to be in his presence in 47 years without crying. He looked so very much like daddy...(his brother) Benjamin Croft Miles. His hugs were the best and always made me feel like a piece of my daddy was right there in my arms...His eyes.. His smile.. His laughter.. I know he is at peace now with Aunt Jean...his mom and dad...and all his brothers and sisters.. He will forever be in my heart.
