Not sure what to say?

We worked together on a research project at Michigan. He was a hard working, caring, and supportive person and I mis him greatly

I thought of George today and found this page. My sincere condolences to you Marge and all the children. George was a good good man, who enriched the lives of those who knew him and was an outstanding father. Among the graduate students in sociology at UM he was a north star of peace, justice and humanity. Thank you Jean Marie for the photograph.

This tribute to George is way overdue. I apologize for being so tardy.
George was my supervisor as I interned in campus ministry at Washington State University in 1965-66.

George Mink was not a big man, but he loomed large in my education at WSU in the early 1960s. He truly wanted to make a difference, and he did.

So sorry to hear of prof Mink's passing, i was his student at EMU during the mid 1980's; he inspired with his kindness and profound insights into our human condition...his dedication was the cornerstone of my 25 year career in social work. kind thoughts and prayers for his family.

For George ~ Your inspiration will live on always in the lives of all those you touched. You changed the course of my life, and I will be forever grateful.
Always your student ~ Joanne

Because the dining halls didn't serve meals on Sunday evenings, we all took turns planning & cooking Sunday dinner at the church for the student group. I remember making tuna fish sandwiches for the group... George would serve communion on some of those Sunday evenings. He introduced me to communion by intinction.

Hello Margie and family,
You and George had a profound impact on my life from my days as a student at Washington State University, and my baby-sitting days for Paul, Patty and Jean Marie as they came along one at a time. I think about you all fondly very often. My sincere condolences to your family. Love, Anne (Sprow) Petersen
