George was one of the best oil field types in the business. He had the respect of his associates at The Western Company and had many successful accomplishments.
I knew George for many years as a friend of my fathers and then later as a fellow oily. He was always the same great man over several decades. The oil field has not been the same since his generation retired.

George H. Neill was my uncle. I was born in raised in Midland, and lived there until graduation from MHS in 1970. The George Neills lived in Midland until around 1963. We spent many happy times with the Neills during their time in Midland, and, of course, later as they moved to Ft. Worth, Houston, Lafayette, Pittsburgh before finally settling in at their lovely home at Fair Oaks Ranch near San Antonio.
