It's very sad to learn of George Newcom's death. I did not know him very well and did not have the chance to work with him, but each encounter I had with him was positive. I can see what others say about his personality and how he treated everyone well. We were competitors and we share the same first name. On a few occasions when I would place a call on a news story and identfy myself, people actually thought it was George Newcom calling. I would sometimes feel that I was delivering...

I want to thank all of you for your kind and warm comments about George. He was indeed a loving and gentle soul, and 42 years of marriage wasn't near long enough with him--"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be" will not be for me, and my heart is broken--but I am so thankful for the time I did have with George, and I thank all of you for loving him too.

The Nuke was one of my favorite people on the planet. George had a infectious spirit that touched and inspired so many around him.

I can't start to count the memories over the years but I can tell you what, it was all good stuff.
