Not sure what to say?

I was Ed's freshman roomate at college and just learned of his passing in the alumni magazine. Ed visited me about 15 years ago for what was supposed to be a marketing visit but turned into about a two hour discussion of our families and and our life experiences. My knowledge of and experiences with the "young" Ed leads me to believe that he led a life of joy, responsible achievements and love of family. I hope that this memory of an old friend brings some comfort to the family.

Dear Phyllis and Family,
I was sorry to hear about the passing of Ed. I am Martin "Joe" Noonan's son.Unfortunately I have not seen any of you in many years. Very likely not since my father's passing some 20+ year's ago. I do remember you Phyllis and Ed and of course Uncle George and Aunt Stina from the early years. And reading the obituary gave me the opportunity to appreciate how accomplished Ed was and how much he contributed to people. My thoughts are with you.....Richard Noonan.

To The Noonan Family,

As you know, Ed has been coming to our firm, Alex. Brown, for many, many years. I can say that the Baltimore Office has been blessed with knowing him and listening intently to his recommendations. Ed had the most wonderful manner, thoughtful and valuable insights, and was always respected and admired. What a wonderful human being, and great role model for his family and friends. We miss him dearly.

Noonan Family,
We are sorry to hear about Ed's passing. My mother enjoyed working for him - he was a great man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Noonan Family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Noonan. I have the greatest memories of growing up in our neighborhood, and much of that time was at your house, with Mr. Noonan.
Your family is in my thoughts.
-Allison Campbell Moran

Noonan Boys, very sorry to read of your loss. I first met your Dad in the 70’s when some of you were in a camp I ran at Wescott. We stayed in touch over the years through courses and the investment business. He was a terrific example of a faithful husband and a devoted father while being the consummate professional. It was great to read that he passed the business on to you. When you are in Philly please look me up. Phyllis and girls please accept my condolences and know that you are in my...

Bill, Colleen and kids,
I was so saddened to hear about your dad/father-in-law/grandfather. Although he was sick, and he is now at peace, I'm sure the loss is deeply felt, particularly as he seems to have been such an incredibly inspirational man. I hope that you can find peace in the memories that you have of him and in the support from your friends and family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
With love and sympathy. We will keep you in our...
