All of us at the Livingston Gem and Mineral Society learned of George's death on September 11. He was such a good friend to so many of us. We will remember his gentle spirit and wonderful smile. He was a wise and thoughtful member of our board. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all of his family.

George and I became acquainted through our mutual friend, Lee Ferris. George, Lee, Peter and I enjoyed sharing homemade dinners, wine, chocolate, and good stories. We will miss George very much. He was a dedicated and thoughtful friend.
